Richard D. Sopp, Partner

Richard D. Sopp is a partner and has been with the firm since 1992. His practice includes franchise law, business law, litigation and estate planning.

Before joining Maloney, Wheatley, Sopp & Brooks, Mr. Sopp's was General Counsel to Harris Research, Inc., the franchisor for the Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning franchise system, from 1988 to 1992.

Mr. Sopp received his B.S. from Brigham Young University in 1982. He received his J.D. degree from the same university in 1986 where he was the Stewart Grow Scholar and a member of the Inns of Court. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1986 and is admitted to practice before state and federal courts.
